新產品系列包括了CL1,CL3和CL5三個型號,具備從48路到72路單聲道+8路立體聲的輸入能力。同時全部型號都包含16個DCA和24個混音/8個矩陣輸出母線。
Yamaha獨創的Centralogic用戶界面被業界公認為現有的最友好的數字操作環境,現行的“選定通道”界面也已經融合到該先進系統中,并優化了多種增強的操作手段;全觸摸式高靈敏度的大尺寸顯示屏幕,可以幫助用戶快速地完成任何參數操作;“用戶自定義旋鈕”是另一種值得一提的新功能,不同于“用戶自定義鍵”,用戶可以將調音臺的多種參數功能分配到四個旋鈕,實現直接、快速的操作與訪問。
CL系列的EQ和效果器進行了全面地擴展與改善。內置的Effect Rack(效果器機架)采用了 VCM模擬電路建模技術,另外還配備了通過與Rupert Neve先生本人緊密合作而設計開發的帶有Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5033均衡器和Portico 5043壓縮器/限制器的Premium Rack。Yamaha與Rupert Neve Designs公司的通力合作始于2010年,合力開發基于Yamaha VCM (虛擬電路建模)技術的設備。Rupert Neve曾對Portico 5033均衡器和Portico 5043壓縮器等采用VCM技術后的產品做出過如下評述: “這是一個非常激動人心的時刻,因為我們第一次將Rupert Neve聲音的強悍表現力應用到了現場擴聲領域。這一切歸功于Yamaha的VCM技術。我絕對相信這種聲音與原本的模擬聲沒有任何區別。” Yamaha研發中心的K博士(Dr. K ,Toshifumi Kunimoto先生) 、VCM 技術的開發者,對該技術同樣表示滿意: “我們已經將VCM 技術推廣到音響效果和數字調音臺的廣闊領域,目前通過與Rupert Neve Designs公司卓有成效的合作,VCM 技術已成為一些最有價值的Portico產品的技術基礎。”
通過可擴展的Audinate Dante?數字音頻網絡進行通訊,CL系列的多種組合和配置中還可以使用 Rio3224-D和Rio1608-D機架安裝型I/O接口設備。CL系列調音臺可以連接多達8臺I/O機架接口設備, 不僅如此,多臺CL調音臺還可以同時對同一I/O機架設備進行控制。全新增加的增益補償功能,可以通過單一網絡整合FOH和監聽位的控制,因此提供了更大規模數字現場擴聲的能力。CL系列中使用的Dante模塊是與Audinate公司合作開發的。Audinate的CEO,Lee Ellison評價道: “我們很高興能在CL系列調音臺和I/O機架接口設備的開發過程中與Yamaha開展合作。Dante為Yamaha網絡系統與Dante虛擬聲卡以及其它任何Dante網絡設備之間連接提供了靈活、低延遲、高度擴展、即插即用的網絡解決方案。我們相信融匯于這個新平臺的技術將為用戶提供難以想象的嶄新數字體驗。”
CL調音臺附贈了Steinberg的 “Nuendo Live” 錄音制作軟件,提供了最先進的現場多軌錄音和虛擬聲音檢查功能。Nuendo Live軟件的一大特點便在于其專門為現場錄音工作進行了設計優化,可以直接從CL調音臺實現多種訪問和操作。Extension plug-in(擴展插件),是一種可供調音臺和Nuendo Live進行便捷通訊的應用軟件,可以讓CL從調音臺的內部界面實現諸如通道名復制、標記和走帶控制等操作。Steinberg的常務董事Andreas Stelling說: “Nuendo Live不僅極其穩定、易于使用,還能與最新一代的Yamaha現場調音臺無縫整合。這是Yamaha和Steinberg公司密切合作的又一成功范例。”
專門為iPad開發的CL StageMix應用程序則提供了更大的靈活性,可以從舞臺或觀眾席等任意位置遠程無線遙控并設置CL調音臺。Yamaha Console File Converter(Yamaha調音臺文件轉換器)是另一種非常實用的應用軟件。它可以實現CL系列、PM5D、M7CL和LS9調音臺之間的數據共享,即使使用完全不同的調音臺,一臺設備中的參數數據也無需徹底重新編程就能復制到另外一臺上并使用。

I/O機架接口設備
兩種型號都可以通過Dante網絡協議連接到調音臺,傳輸低抖動、低延遲的數字音頻信號。
